Technoplast Packaging Pvt. Ltd., part of MD Group, has inaugurated a new manufacturing facility in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, for producing plastic preforms, caps, and jars. The facility was inaugurated on 4 September 2025.
The Gorakhpur plant is equipped with Husky Injection Molding and Sacmi Compression Molding technology. With this technology, it is expected to play a role in delivering high-quality PET Preforms, Closures & Jars more efficiently.
Husky systems use molten plastic injected into moulds for high-volume and high-precision production of bottle preforms and closures. They are designed for consistent part quality, rapid cycle times, flexibility in design, and integrated automation.
Sacmi compression molding technology, mainly used for caps and closures, compresses plastic pellets into shape rather than injecting them. It offers shorter cycle times, faster cooling, lower extrusion temperatures for improved energy efficiency, and independent cavity operation, which reduces defects. This method is widely adopted in the beverage industry.
Technoplast Packaging Pvt. Ltd. was incorporated on 11 December 2019 and is registered in Delhi. The company manufactures rubber and plastic products, primarily serving the packaging sector. It has an authorised share capital of INR 2 billion and a paid-up capital of approximately INR 199 million.
