Optiemus Electronics, in partnership with Corning Incorporated, has inaugurated a tempered glass manufacturing facility for mobile devices in Noida. The plant represents an initial investment of INR 700 million, with Phase 1 designed for an annual capacity of 25 million units and expected to create 600 jobs.

Phase 2 of the facility will involve an additional INR 8 billion investment, increasing production capacity to 200 million units per year and generating more than 4,500 jobs. The tempered glass will be produced under the brand “Engineered by Corning” for both domestic and export markets.

The new plant integrates processes such as shaping, polishing, chemical tempering, coating, and lamination under controlled conditions.
