A semiconductor and display manufacturing facility is being established in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, with an investment of ₹165,900 crores (approximately $20 billion). The project will focus on the production of semiconductors, chips, wafers, and display panels, supporting industries such as consumer electronics, automotive, and telecommunications.
According to information shared by RG Strategies Group, this initiative aims to develop a manufacturing ecosystem that could attract technology companies and skilled professionals. The facility’s objectives include addressing the domestic demand for semiconductors and reducing reliance on imports.
The project is positioned as a step toward enhancing local manufacturing capabilities in India’s electronics sector. The company anticipates that the unit will contribute to meeting the increasing demand for critical components in sectors like electric vehicles and 5G technology.
