Sun Industries India has announced plans to expand its manufacturing capacity by 50% at its greenfield facility. The company conducted a Bhoomi Pooja ceremony on December 5, 2025, to mark the beginning of the expansion project.
The expanded facility is expected to be operational by May 2025, enhancing the company’s ability to manufacture pressed metal components for the automotive sector. This expansion comes within five years of the facility’s inception and aligns with the company’s growth strategy.
Founded in 1996 with seven employees, Sun Industries has grown to employ over 350 people. The company specializes in the manufacturing of sheet metal and pressed parts, focusing on producing critical metal components for automotive manufacturers. The company holds an IATF 16949:2016 certification, underscoring its commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
Nagu Chidambaram, managing director of Sun Industries, received the National Award for Best Entrepreneur of the Year in 2003. The company serves a range of clients in the automotive sector and beyond.
The expansion aims to support increased production demands and strengthen Sun Industries’ position in the manufacturing sector.
