Ratnamani Metals & Tubes Limited, a manufacturer of stainless steel and carbon steel pipes and tubes, is undertaking multiple capacity expansion projects across its Indian and overseas operations to support growing demand in infrastructure, energy and industrial sectors. The company is also progressing with new facilities in Odisha, Kutch, Rajkot and Saudi Arabia as part of its medium-term growth plan.

Phase I of the spiral welded pipe plant in Odisha has been commissioned, while Phase II — a coating facility — is scheduled for completion by December 2025. In Kutch, Ratnamani is executing a brownfield expansion of its carbon steel arc-welded (CSAW) pipe plant to handle pipes up to 150 millimetres in thickness and 18 metres in length, increasing capacity from 48,000 tonnes to 75,000 tonnes per annum. A new carbon steel HSAW spiral pipe unit of 100,000 tonnes annual capacity is also under development at the same site, targeted for completion by the end of the financial year.

“Our performance during the quarter was supported by strong operational execution and milestone achievements, including the commissioning of Phase I of the Odisha plant and certification of the Kutch facility by the American Petroleum Institute,” said Manoj P. Sanghvi, Whole-Time Director and Chief Executive Officer. “We also pioneered the supply of hydrogen-compliant carbon steel welded pipes in India, while maintaining stable profitability through operational efficiency and cost control,” he added.

Subsidiaries are also expanding their manufacturing capabilities. Ravi Technoforge Private Limited, based in Rajkot, has completed a 20 percent capacity increase at its Pipaliya unit and is setting up a high-speed hot forming facility to produce Gen 3 hubs and drivetrain components for the automotive industry, scheduled for completion by December 2026. The subsidiary has a forging capacity of 40,000 tonnes annually and is commissioning a 9 MW solar power project to meet half its energy requirements.

Ratnamani Finow Spooling Solutions Private Limited, a joint venture specialising in pipe spool fabrication for nuclear and thermal power projects, is expanding capacity from 1,200 tonnes to 4,000 tonnes per year, with commercial production expected from April 2026. The unit holds an active order book exceeding INR 500 crore, to be executed within the next 12 to 18 months.

In the Middle East, Ratnamani Middle East Company LLC has commenced groundwork for a stainless steel seamless products facility in Saudi Arabia, planned for completion by March 2027.

Ratnamani currently operates four Indian manufacturing plants at Indrad (Mehsana), Chhatral (Gandhinagar), Bhimasar (Kutch) and Sundargarh (Odisha), producing a range of stainless steel and carbon steel pipes and tubes. Its products serve over 20 industries across 35 countries, including oil and gas, petrochemicals, nuclear power, automotive, defence and hydrogen infrastructure.

Ratnamani Metals & Tubes Limited, established in 1983 and headquartered in Ahmedabad, manufactures welded and seamless pipes for domestic and international markets. The company’s market capitalisation stood at INR 18.08 billion as of March 2025.
