Cyient Limited announced that Prabhakar Atla will assume the role of Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Shrinivas Kulkarni will become Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective 1 April 2026. The leadership transition forms part of the company’s organisational changes aimed at supporting its next phase of operational development.
Atla, who currently serves as Chief Financial Officer, will transition to the COO role after more than two decades with the company. In his new position, he will be responsible for scaling delivery models, developing future-ready talent and improving operating models to enhance client experience and operational execution.
Kulkarni, most recently Chief Financial Officer of Cyient DLM, will assume the role of Chief Financial Officer of Cyient Limited. The company said he has led multiple initiatives within the group over the past decade related to financial discipline, operational efficiency, improved cash conversion and margin expansion.
“Cyient’s next phase of growth in the core business requires leaders who combine deep institutional knowledge with a sharp execution mindset,” said Sukamal Banerjee, Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer of Cyient. “Prabhakar’s transition to COO is a natural evolution of his leadership journey and reflects his strong strategic and operational understanding of our business. Shrinivas’ appointment as CFO reinforces our commitment to financial rigor, performance excellence, and long-term stakeholder value creation.”
“Twenty years at Cyient have given me a deep appreciation for what makes this organisation truly distinctive; our domain expertise, our client relationships, and the values that have guided us through every phase of our growth,” said Prabhakar Atla, COO-designate. “Transitioning from CFO to COO is an exciting new chapter, and an opportunity to build on this strong foundation in a broader capacity.”
“As Cyient accelerates its AI-led growth trajectory, finance will remain pivotal in fuelling strategic investments, bolstering profitability, and enhancing stakeholder value,” said Shrinivas Kulkarni, CFO-designate.
