Delta Autocorp Limited has established a fully integrated in-house Design Studio along with an expanded New Product Development (NPD) function. The move forms part of the company’s long-term product strategy in India’s electric mobility sector.
Delta Autocorp stated that the Design Studio has been created to lead the custom development of its upcoming flagship scooter while institutionalising a sustained, design-led development culture within the organisation. The company said the objective is to build a repeatable and scalable system for future innovation rather than focus solely on a single product launch.
The Design Studio integrates styling, feature conceptualisation, ground-up chassis engineering, colour, material and finish (CMF) direction, ergonomics, and overall product architecture under a single coordinated framework. The company said this structure enables end-to-end control over how its vehicles are “imagined, engineered, and evolved”.
The expanded team includes professionals with prior experience across electric vehicle original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and mobility platforms such as OPG Mobility (Okaya EV), Revolt Motors, and Blinq Mobility. The company stated that the team’s expertise spans automotive styling, vehicle architecture development, CMF strategy, user-centred research, and production-grade realisation.
Delta Autocorp said the Design Studio represents a permanent structural investment in internal intellectual property creation and architectural ownership. The company stated that by internalising core product control it is transitioning towards architecture-led innovation to support faster iteration, consistent upgrades, and cohesive design language across future platforms.
Delta Autocorp Limited, formerly known as Delta Autocorp Pvt. Ltd., is listed on the National Stock Exchange of India under the symbol DELTIC. The company operates manufacturing units in West Bengal and Uttar Pradesh and manufactures electric two-wheelers.
