JK Fenner India Ltd, a manufacturer of auto components, has entered into a technology collaboration with South Korea-based NMC Motors to manufacture electric axles (e-axles) for three-wheelers and small commercial vehicles. The company plans to set up a dedicated manufacturing facility for e-axles for three-wheelers, supported by technical expertise from NMC Motors.

The partnership, announced in Chennai, will focus initially on the development and production of e-axles for three-wheelers and small commercial vehicles, with potential future expansion to four-wheelers. The collaboration is expected to help integrate electric vehicle technologies from NMC Motors and support localized manufacturing.

The agreement aligns with JK Fenner’s strategy to expand its presence in the electric vehicle sector and to develop in-house product capabilities with support from NMC Motors.

Other recent developments at JK Fenner include a target to double its turnover to INR 20 billion by 2025, reflecting growth ambitions. The company has expanded into high-pressure hoses and established a new plant, becoming the second-largest manufacturer of these products in India. JK Fenner also continues to focus on research and development and sustainability efforts, such as renewable energy adoption, water conservation, and reducing carbon emissions.
