The announcement followed a strategic meeting at DENSO’s global headquarters in Kariya, Aichi, Japan, between the company’s senior leadership and a delegation from the Government of Uttar Pradesh. The delegation was led by Alok Kumar, Principal Secretary of Infrastructure & Industrial Development. The dialogue included participation from Invest UP and members of the Indian Consulate.
DENSO India presented its expansion plans during the meeting, which was attended by Masanori Sugiura, Deputy Head of Legal, Intellectual Property, Communications, and Government Affairs at DENSO Corporation, and other senior executives. The Uttar Pradesh delegation, which included Finance Minister Suresh Khanna, met with several Japanese corporations and officials to encourage industrial partnerships, technology exchange, and workforce development. The delegation also held discussions with leaders of the Osaka Prefectural Assembly, including Kida Kaoru and Kinjo Katsunori.
According to state officials, the meetings underscored Uttar Pradesh’s growing strength as a destination for future-ready investments. The upcoming World Expo 2025 in Osaka, where Invest UP will host a pavilion, was also highlighted as a platform to promote the state’s electric vehicle ecosystem and attract foreign direct investment.
