Eyantram Waste Management has inaugurated an integrated electronic waste recycling plant at the Andhra Pradesh MedTech Zone (AMTZ) in Visakhapatnam on 9 September 2025. The company has invested between INR 150 million and INR 200 million in the facility, which will cater to Andhra Pradesh and eastern India.

The inauguration was attended by Ajay Kumar Sood, Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government of India, Jitendra Sharma, Managing Director and Founder CEO of AMTZ, and Manish Kumar Jha, Chief Scientist at CSIR–NML. The launch coincided with the National S&T Clusters Meet.

The facility is based on proprietary recycling technology developed by CSIR–NML, designed for energy-efficient and environmentally safe extraction of metals from discarded electronics. It is the first integrated plant for electronic and biomedical waste within a medical technology park in Andhra Pradesh. The plant is capable of recovering metals including gold, silver, copper, aluminium, and rare earths.

The plant has been designed for zero waste operations, resource recovery, and digital traceability. It incorporates doorstep pickup services and instant cash incentives to encourage public participation in recycling. “The facility emphasises ‘zero waste’ operations, resource recovery, and digital traceability, with features like doorstep pickup and instant cash incentives to encourage public participation,” the company said.

According to the company, the project is expected to generate employment opportunities for engineers, start-ups, and NGOs in the recycling sector.

Eyantram is engaged in electronic waste recycling solutions, with a focus on technology-enabled processes for metal recovery and waste management. The company’s operations include resource recovery systems and initiatives aimed at supporting waste recycling ecosystems in India.
