Dynamatic Technologies showcased its artificial intelligence-enabled First Article Inspection system for the Airbus A220 aft service door to the Airbus Board of Directors on 29 September 2025. The demonstration was part of the board’s visit to India, which included meetings with senior government officials, executives from IndiGo and Air India, and tours of key suppliers.

The system presented by Dynamatic applies AI-driven computer vision to automate defect detection, dimensional verification, and conformity checks. Such systems are designed to support regulatory compliance, traceability, and efficiency in aerospace manufacturing processes. Airbus has been integrating explainable AI into production to strengthen quality assurance and streamline certification requirements.

Dynamatic manufactures all door variants for the Airbus A220 family under a contract with Airbus, including cargo, passenger, service, and over-wing emergency exit doors. The demonstration of the inspection system was part of these responsibilities, supporting the programme’s production ramp-up. Indian supplier Aequs provides structural parts for the A220 door programme.

Airbus held its first annual strategy meeting in India in September 2025, marking the first time the board convened outside Europe or China since 2018. The visit included stops at Tata Advanced Systems in Hyderabad and Dynamatic Technologies in Karnataka, both Tier 1 suppliers. Airbus has announced plans to increase sourcing from India from USD 1.4 billion to USD 2 billion by 2030.

During the visit, the Barota Malhoutra Museum of Art (BMMA) was inaugurated by Rene Obermann and Jurgen Westermeier, adding a cultural dimension to the board’s itinerary.

Dynamatic Technologies is a Bengaluru-based engineering and manufacturing company that supplies complex components and assemblies to aerospace, automotive, and hydraulic equipment sectors. It is a global Tier 1 supplier to Airbus, Boeing, and other major aerospace companies.
