Adani Group and Google have announced a collaboration aimed at expanding clean energy use in India, focusing on renewable power supply. Under the agreement, Adani will supply power from a solar-wind hybrid project in Khavda, Gujarat, which is expected to start commercial operations in the third quarter of 2025.

The Khavda project, part of a larger renewable energy facility, will provide clean energy solutions for commercial and industrial (C&I) customers, helping them reduce their carbon emissions. Adani is concentrating on the C&I and merchant energy sectors as part of its strategy to support industrial decarbonization efforts.

Google’s involvement in the partnership aligns with its global goal to operate on 24/7 carbon-free energy. This collaboration ensures that Google’s cloud services and operations in India will be powered by renewable energy, advancing its sustainability objectives in the region.

Both companies have positioned this initiative as a step towards promoting sustainability and decarbonization in India.
