KP Energy Limited has placed an order for 20 units of Senvion India’s 4.2M160 wind turbine generators. The turbines will be deployed as part of a hybrid power project in Bharuch district, Gujarat. Deliveries are scheduled for the fourth quarter of the 2025–26 financial year.

The agreement includes supply and supervision of the turbines, along with a long-term operations and maintenance contract. The 4.2M160 model features a 160-meter rotor and hub heights up to 140 meters, designed to enhance energy output under low wind conditions.

According to KP Energy Managing Director Faruk G. Patel, “The 4.2M160 platform offers us the opportunity to enhance generation capacity efficiently while optimizing lifecycle costs.” Senvion India CEO Amit Kansal stated, “We have built this turbine to deliver more — more energy, more availability, more value — across a wider range of sites.”

The 4.2M160 wind turbine has been developed by Senvion’s research and development teams in India and Germany, with over 85% localisation. It incorporates modular architecture, compliance with Indian grid codes, and serviceability features tailored to diverse terrain and site conditions.

KP Energy Limited, founded in 1994, operates in the renewable energy and infrastructure sectors. The company has implemented various wind and solar energy projects across India and continues to focus on expanding its green energy portfolio.
