Larsen & Toubro (L&T) Hydrocarbon’s AdVENT business vertical has received an order from Rashtriya Chemicals and Fertilizers Limited (RCF) to construct a 1,200 metric tonnes per day (MTPD) NPK fertiliser plant at RCF’s Thal unit in Raigad, Maharashtra. The engineering, procurement, and construction (L-EPC) contract, valued between ₹1,000 crore and ₹2,500 crore, also includes associated utilities and off-site facilities.

The project aligns with the government’s Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative, aimed at increasing India’s self-reliance in fertiliser production. According to a press release from L&T, the new plant is expected to bolster domestic fertiliser manufacturing capacity, contributing to India’s agricultural sector.

The contract adds to L&T’s ongoing efforts in the hydrocarbon and energy sectors, where its services span onshore and offshore EPC, modular fabrication, and asset management.
