Tanfac Industries Limited announced the completion of a significant brownfield expansion project at its hydrofluoric acid (HF) production facility. The company doubled its capacity from 14,850 metric tons per annum (MT) to 29,700 MT. This expansion, completed at an investment of approximately ₹100 crore, was finalized on October 7, 2024, within the projected timeframe of 17 months.
The expanded facility is expected to produce 90 MT per day of hydrofluoric acid, up from the previous 45 MT per day. Tanfac plans to utilize the majority of this increased production to manufacture high-end specialty fluoride molecules within its group companies.
K. Sendhil Naathan, Managing Director of Tanfac, commented that the commissioning of the new state-of-the-art HF plant supports the company’s growth trajectory by expanding production capabilities.
The expansion reflects Tanfac’s ongoing commitment to strengthening its market position in the chemical industry.
