Runaya and ECKART have announced a joint venture to establish a facility in Odisha, India, for producing spherical atomized aluminum granules. These granules are used in sectors such as aerospace, solar energy, and effect pigments.

According to a press release issued by the companies, the facility will utilize recycled aluminum and renewable energy to minimize its carbon footprint. The partnership aligns with growing demand for sustainable manufacturing solutions in both domestic and international markets.

In addition to the joint venture, Runaya and ECKART have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to manufacture high-quality aluminum pigments.

Christian Przybyla, President of ECKART, emphasized the collaborative potential of the partnership, while Naivedya Agarwal, Managing Director and Co-founder of Runaya, highlighted its alignment with circular economy goals.

ECKART, part of ALTANA AG, specializes in metallic and pearlescent effect pigments for industries including coatings, printing, plastics, and cosmetics. Runaya focuses on sustainable technologies, including aluminum industry solutions and metallurgical powders.

The collaboration is expected to contribute to India’s manufacturing capabilities and expand the global reach of sustainable aluminum products.
