Sany India, a construction equipment manufacturer, has exported over 1,000 telehandlers to the United States, reflecting its expanding role in international markets. The company operates a dedicated manufacturing unit with an annual capacity of 3,000 telehandlers, scalable to 4,500 units, to meet growing global demand.
In 2024, the company recorded a 30% revenue growth, reaching approximately ₹9,000 crore, with exports accounting for over 10% of total revenue. Sany India projects exports will contribute 14–15% of revenue in 2025, aiming for a 30% increase in export volume to 1,600 units compared to 1,200 units in 2024.
The company has developed new machinery tailored for the American and European markets. It also exports excavators to Africa and the SAARC region, with plans to expand its portfolio by introducing soil compactors to international markets.
Deepak Garg, Managing Director for Sany and South Asia, highlighted the company’s focus on robust manufacturing capabilities, stating that a strong ecosystem and supply chain for components such as engines, transmissions, and axles ensure quality and reliability for export markets.
In addition to telehandlers, Sany India specializes in excavators, cranes, concrete mixers, and mining machinery. It holds significant market shares in several sectors, including 60% in piling rigs and 55% in cranes.
The company recently inaugurated a new manufacturing facility in Pune with an annual production capacity of 14,000 units, positioning India as a key hub for both domestic and international operations.
