Damson Technologies has inaugurated a new manufacturing facility near Ahmedabad as part of its plan to shift 50% of its manufacturing operations from China to India. The initiative involves a total investment of ₹150 crore, with ₹50 crore allocated to the plant and ₹100 crore for marketing, research and development, and team expansion.
The facility, expected to employ 350 people, will initially focus on producing items such as power strips, chargers, cables, power banks, TWS earbuds, and home audio systems locally. The company will continue manufacturing smartwatches and smart glasses in China.
According to Managing Director Ritesh Goenka, relocating production to India aligns with changes in global trade dynamics, including reduced export duties from India compared to China.
This development supports Damson Technologies’ broader strategy to enhance its manufacturing capabilities and meet demand for its products, which are sold under the “Just Corseca” brand.
