John Cockerill India Limited (JCIL) has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) to explore joint initiatives aimed at advancing solutions for the steel industry in India. The agreement was formalized during a signing ceremony held in Mumbai, Maharashtra.
The collaboration seeks to leverage technological expertise to address challenges in areas such as decarbonization and sustainable steel production. François-David Martino, CEO of John Cockerill Industry and Chairman of John Cockerill India, highlighted the potential of the partnership to contribute to advancements in India’s steel sector.
Key executives from both organizations participated in the signing event, including Frédéric Martin, Vice-President of John Cockerill Industry (Metals), Michael Kotas, Managing Director of John Cockerill India, Anil Kumar Tulsiani, Director (Finance) at SAIL, and other senior representatives from SAIL’s business planning division.
The collaboration underscores a mutual commitment to innovation and the development of advanced steel industry solutions, aligning with ongoing efforts to modernize and enhance the sector’s capabilities.
