NTPC has approved investments totaling around Rs 80,000 crore for three thermal power projects with a combined capacity of 6,400 megawatts (MW).
The board’s approvals cover three projects. The Telangana Super Thermal Power Project, Phase-II, which will have a capacity of 3×800 MW, is set to receive an investment of approximately Rs 29,344.85 crore. The Gadarwara Super Thermal Power Project, Stage-II, at 2×800 MW capacity, will be backed by an estimated Rs 20,445.69 crore. Additionally, the Nabinagar Super Thermal Power Project, Stage II, with a capacity of 3×800 MW, has an approved investment of around Rs 29,947.91 crore.
As of September 30, the NTPC Group’s total installed power generation capacity stood at 76,443 MW, up from 73,824 MW recorded a year earlier.
