Munters, a Swedish company that offers climate control solutions, has inaugurated a new manufacturing facility in Malur, Karnataka, on December 4, 2024. The facility, known as Malur Unit II, is designed to expand the company’s production capacity for dehumidification and air handling unit solutions to meet regional demand.

The event featured a tour of the facility, showcasing its capabilities and the collaborative effort behind its development. Key individuals present at the ceremony included Olivier Pelletier, Senior Vice President Airtech APAC, and Srinivasan Vijayaraghavan, Managing Director of Zeco Aircon Limited and Business Unit Manager of Munters India HCT.

The Malur Unit II facility represents a step forward in Munters’ strategy to localize manufacturing while catering to customer needs in southern and other parts of India. According to the company, the expansion is aimed at improving operational efficiency and sustainability while supporting regional economic growth.

Rafid Al Janahi, MPS Global Manager, highlighted the facility’s role in enhancing the company’s operational standards and meeting evolving customer requirements through localized solutions.

The investment aligns with Munters’ broader focus on strengthening its presence in India and the Asia-Pacific region. The company plans to leverage this facility to better serve its customers and bolster its position within the climate control industry.
