Westermo has inaugurated its first entity in Bengaluru, India, as part of its expansion strategy. The facility, located in Hebbal, Bangalore North, is intended to enhance sales and production capacity while also supporting key business functions such as operations and technical support.
The inauguration took place on March 6, 2025, and was attended by customers, channel partners, and suppliers. The event included a keynote speech by Westermo CEO Jenny Sjödahl, a ribbon-cutting ceremony, and a facility tour.
The new entity will employ professionals across various roles, including sales and technical support. The company sees India as a growing market with opportunities in industrial data communication, particularly in the digitalization of utilities, transportation, and industry.
Westermo India Managing Director Anith Anandan stated that the company aims to provide secure and reliable solutions to meet local market demands.
According to a press release issued by Westermo, the Bengaluru expansion aligns with the company’s efforts to strengthen its global operations and customer relationships.
