AKSI Aerospace Group and FIXAR Global have entered into an agreement for licensed drone manufacturing in India, valued at up to Rs 85 crore. The announcement was made during Aero India 2025 in Bengaluru.

Under the agreement, AKSI Aerospace will produce drones in India for domestic and international markets. The company will develop key drone subsystems, including navigation systems, propulsion, batteries, airframe composites, and imaging systems.

The initiative is expected to support local production and reduce reliance on imported drone components. FIXAR Global specializes in software and aircraft design for commercial autonomous drones used in industrial applications across North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

The partnership will enable FIXAR to expand its manufacturing operations in India, utilizing AKSI Aerospace’s production facilities, quality control measures, training, and maintenance capabilities, according to a company statement.
