Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) and the Defence Institute of Advanced Technology (DIAT), Pune, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on aerospace research, skill development, and academic programs.
The agreement, signed by HAL Management Academy (HMA) Executive Director G Srikantha Sharma and DIAT Vice Chancellor BHVS Narayana Murthy, aims to facilitate industry-academia partnerships in aerospace technology. HAL Chairman and Managing Director D K Sunil and senior officials from both institutions were present at the signing.
As part of the collaboration, HAL executives will have the opportunity to pursue master’s and Ph.D. programs at DIAT, attend specialized courses on emerging technologies, and participate in faculty and student exchange programs. The MoU also includes provisions for joint conferences, seminars, and research initiatives focused on advancements in aviation and defence technology.
According to the press release, the partnership is intended to support research and innovation while enhancing technical expertise in the aerospace sector.
