JSW MG Motor India announced modifications at its Halol manufacturing facility to enhance production capacity for the all-electric crossover Windsor and prepare for new vehicle launches under its premium retail channel, MG Select.

The company has produced 15,000 units of the Windsor model but expects a temporary slowdown in production during February due to ongoing facility modifications.

The Halol plant has an annual production capacity of over 100,000 units, with plans to increase it to 300,000 units by 2027. As part of its expansion, the company will introduce two new electric vehicles—the MG Cyberster roadster and the MG M9 three-row limousine—under the MG Select brand. These models, unveiled at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 in January, are scheduled for launch in the first half of the year.

“We are increasing the capacity of the facility at Halol to meet the rising demand for Windsor,” said JSW MG Motor India Deputy Managing Director Biju Balendran in a statement. “Additionally, we are undertaking certain facility modifications to ensure readiness for new products under MG Select.”

Balendran also noted that the Windsor model has reached the 15,000-unit production milestone and acknowledged factors such as battery-as-a-service (BaaS), a buyback program, and a lifetime warranty as contributing to consumer confidence in electric vehicles.
