Paras Defence and Space Technologies Limited has received an order from the Centre for High Energy Systems & Sciences (CHESS), a unit of the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), Ministry of Defence, India. The contract, valued at approximately INR 1.42 billion, is for the development of a Laser Source Module and its integration with a Beam Control System (BCS) on a mobile platform.

The project is part of a High-Power Laser System intended for anti-drone and anti-missile applications. The contract is set to be completed within 24 months.

According to a company disclosure, the order was awarded by a domestic entity and does not involve related-party transactions.
