Peppermint Robotics has raised INR 340 million in a Series A funding round to scale production and expand its manufacturing capabilities for autonomous cleaning and material handling robots. The company plans to use the investment to grow its presence in Europe, Japan, and the Asia-Pacific region, and to enhance its proprietary operating system and electronics framework.

The funding round included participation from JDSS, ENRISSION INDIA CAPITAL, Indian Angel Network (IAN), Vinners, and other angel investors. This brings the total funding raised by the company to approximately INR 490 million since its founding in 2019.

Founded by Runal Dahiwade and headquartered in Pune, India, Peppermint manufactures robotic systems intended for use in commercial and industrial environments. Its product line includes floor cleaning robots, material handling equipment, and accessories such as docking stations. The systems are designed to support automation of repetitive tasks and are integrated with cloud-connected dashboards for real-time analytics.

According to Dahiwade, “Our current round of funding will help us drive four strategic priorities — enhancing our international product offerings & compliances, expanding into the EU, Japan and APAC regions, advancing our proprietary operating system to support both our robots and OEM partners, and building the infrastructure needed to meet growing demand.”

The company is also investing in infrastructure, production, and supply chain development to support new products, including a restroom cleaning robot expected to launch between 2025 and 2026. Peppermint plans to expand its engineering and leadership teams as part of this manufacturing-focused growth strategy.

Peppermint began operations from the Society for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (SINE) at IIT Bombay. It currently operates in six countries and has previously launched its products in the US market.
