Hitachi Automation India Private Limited (HAIPL) has inaugurated a new manufacturing facility in the Chakan Industrial Area, Pune, Maharashtra. This marks the company’s second operational plant in India, complementing its existing facility in Manesar, Haryana.
The new facility is part of HAIPL’s efforts to expand its business in India and address growing demand in the automation sector. The expansion is expected to enhance its production capabilities and improve responsiveness to evolving customer needs.
The inauguration event, held on November 22, 2024, was attended by Miho Arai, President of Hitachi Automation Co. Ltd., Japan; Junji Okada, Managing Director of Hitachi Automation India; and Sachin Barmase, Director of Hitachi Automation India.
The Pune facility will focus on supporting the automation sector’s growth in India, aligning with the company’s broader strategy of increasing its market presence and operational efficiency in the region. HAIPL plans to continue investing in its infrastructure and resources to meet the growing demand for automation products and services in India.
Hitachi Automation India Pvt. Ltd., a subsidiary of the Hitachi Group, has been operating in India since 2019, specializing in body-welding line design, manufacturing, and automation for the automotive industry. The company provides turnkey solutions, including project management, welding fixture and conveyor design, robot simulation, manufacturing, assembly, installation, commissioning, and production support. It has delivered projects for clients such as Maruti Suzuki India, Toyota, Suzuki Motors Gujarat, Bellsonica, and H-One.
