Divgi TorqTransfer Systems Limited, an automotive transmission systems manufacturer, has reported an expansion in its exports and laid out plans to scale its transmission and EV-related businesses, as well as its export business. The company secured approvals for all nine export components and began shipments across multiple geographies, with expected annual revenue of approximately INR 900 million from over one million parts. This helped increase export revenue contribution from around 1% in FY24 to 5% in FY25.
For FY25, the components segment grew 41 percent year-over-year, reaching INR 502 million in revenue. According to the company, export revenues are expected to grow signficantly by the end of FY26, supported by a healthy order pipeline, including ongoing discussions with Japanese and Korean OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers. Final production approval on all export parts adds an additional monthly revenue potential of INR 70 million.
The transfer case business, which declined 29 percent year-over-year in FY25, showed signs of recovery in the last quarter. The company noted improved per-unit realizations and projected future growth from upcoming 4WD launches in India and expanding international orders, especially in Japan, Korea, and the US.
For the EV segment, Divgi expects a ramp-up in production beginning Q2FY26, driven by orders across all platforms of a major Indian EV manufacturer. The company also initiated a feasibility study with a global Tier 1 supplier to produce 100,000 automatic transmissions annually in India and is evaluating localization of 8-speed dual clutch transmissions with a global OEM.
Divgi’s long-term growth plan targets annual revenues of over INR 15 billion. The core and other product portfolio, including manual transmission components and next-generation hybrid and automatic transmission systems, is expected to contribute around INR 12 billion. EV systems and components globally are projected to bring in INR 2.5 billion, while the export business could add INR 2 billion annually.
The company aims to increase export share to 20–25% of total revenue over the next 4–5 years. It continues to diversify its customer base domestically and internationally while advancing development of next-generation hybrid and automatic transmission technologies.
In the quarter ending March 2025, total income rose 12 percent quarter-on-quarter to INR 641 million. EBITDA for Q4FY25 stood at INR 145 million, while profit after tax was INR 54 million. The full-year FY25 revenue declined 12 percent year-over-year to INR 2.4 billion, while EBITDA and PAT dropped to INR 586 million and INR 244 million respectively.
