Uravi Defence and Technology Limited, a manufacturer of automotive lamps and defence-grade power supply solutions, reported INR 22.3 million in revenue from its defence division for the financial year ending March 31, 2025, marking its entry into the defence sector. The company acquired a 50.01 percent stake in SKL (India) Private Limited in September 2024, converting it into a subsidiary. It also incorporated Bharat Technology Limited in the United Kingdom as a wholly owned subsidiary to support its international diversification strategy.
“Looking ahead, we are confident about sustaining our growth momentum. With an expanding product portfolio, enhanced manufacturing capabilities, and a robust presence across critical sectors, we are well-positioned to capitalize on opportunities both in India and international markets. Our strong order book, commitment to innovation, and focus on operational excellence will continue to drive long-term value for all stakeholders.” said Niraj Gada, Managing Director and CEO.
As part of its broader strategic shift, the company had earlier changed its name from Uravi T and Wedge Lamps Limited to Uravi Defence and Technology Limited. The renaming reflects its intention to position itself in both the automotive and defence manufacturing sectors.
In FY25, the company reported a consolidated total income of INR 446 million and a net profit of INR 19.5 million. Of the total revenue, INR 412.7 million was generated from the automotive segment.
Uravi Defence and Technology Limited, incorporated in 2004, manufactures incandescent and wedge-based automotive lamps under the brand name “UVAL.” It supplies products to OEM and aftermarket clients and maintains a distribution network across India, with plans to expand internationally through dealer partnerships.
