Flying Wedge Defence and Aerospace Private Limited, a developer of unmanned aerial systems, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Government of Andhra Pradesh to set up a manufacturing and testing facility for autonomous combat aircraft. The planned 500-acre unit will support production of the company’s autonomous combat aircraft and the medium-altitude long-endurance (MALE) Kaalabhairav platform.

The project is expected to create close to 1,000 employment opportunities. The facility will function as an integrated centre for fabrication, assembly and testing of advanced unmanned systems designed for defence applications.

Flying Wedge Defence has also received a Silver Medal at ARCA 2025 – the 23rd International Exhibition of Innovation in Zagreb, Croatia, for its FWD unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV).
