AxisCades Technologies Limited, an India-based aerospace and defence engineering and technology services company, has entered into a strategic partnership with Ogma – Indústria Aeronáutica de Portugal to expand capabilities in aerospace manufacturing, maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO), airframe engineering, and certification services. The agreement was announced on 27 January 2026 and is intended to support MRO activities for both commercial and military aircraft platforms.
The partnership focuses on providing maintenance and support services for Embraer aircraft and other manufacturers’ fleets operating in India. The Embraer fleet in the country includes VVIP and VIP aircraft, airborne early warning and control platforms, and commercial aircraft. The collaboration aligns with AxisCades’ stated strategy of moving up the aerospace value chain by increasing its exposure to long-term, service-oriented activities.
As part of the arrangement, the two companies will explore business opportunities in India, the United Arab Emirates, and the Middle East and North Africa region. The collaboration also draws on Ogma’s relationships with original equipment manufacturers such as Embraer, Airbus Defence, Rolls-Royce, and Pratt & Whitney to support MRO and engineering services across a range of aircraft programmes.
AxisCades is currently developing an integrated aerospace and defence manufacturing and MRO hub near the Bengaluru International Airport. The planned facility includes dedicated aircraft hangars, engine shops, speed shops, a welding centre of excellence, electronics manufacturing, systems integration, and certification testing infrastructure. The company has stated that the partnership is intended to support the development of certified MRO capabilities within India by leveraging Ogma’s experience in airframe and engine maintenance.
