Gronsol Inverter Technology LLP has commissioned a new 34,000 sq.ft. manufacturing facility in Kosmada, Surat, Gujarat, marking its entry into domestic production of solar power electronics. The new unit enables Gronsol to operate as an original equipment manufacturer, with an installed capacity of around 12,000 inverters per month.
The facility is equipped with surface mount technology and through-hole technology assembly lines for printed circuit board manufacturing. It also includes in-house testing and validation infrastructure for electrical, thermal, and load performance, along with controlled clean-room environments for electronics assembly and firmware integration.
Gronsol’s manufacturing output will support a broad product portfolio covering on-grid string inverters, hybrid inverters, and micro inverters. The on-grid range spans capacities from 1 kilowatt to 110 kilowatts for residential and commercial applications, while hybrid inverters are designed for combined solar, battery, and grid operation across capacities from 3 kilowatts to 80 kilowatts. The company is also producing micro inverters in the 0.6 kilowatt to 2.2 kilowatt range, aimed at residential installations with complex rooftop conditions.
In addition to inverters, the facility will support the production of energy storage systems, including integrated inverter–battery units and low-voltage lithium battery packs. The company has also incorporated connectivity features, enabling remote system monitoring through a proprietary digital platform.
The manufacturing operations are housed under Gronsol Inverter Technology LLP, a separate legal entity incorporated in August 2024. The move follows the group’s earlier activities in the solar equipment distribution segment through Greenedge Energy LLP, which supplied products from multiple international brands.
Gronsol is also expanding its after-sales and service infrastructure to support higher production volumes. Existing service hubs are operational in Surat, Noida, Patna, Kochi, and Bengaluru, with additional centres planned in Jaipur, Lucknow, Pune, Nagpur, and Karnal.
Looking ahead, the company plans to introduce higher-capacity commercial and industrial energy storage solutions and develop energy management systems designed to optimise battery usage based on grid conditions. Gronsol is positioning its domestically manufactured products to address demand from residential and commercial solar programmes, including government-supported rooftop installations.
Gronsol Inverter Technology LLP is engaged in the design and manufacture of solar inverters and energy storage systems for residential, commercial, and industrial applications in India.
