Goldi Solar Pvt. Ltd. has inaugurated a solar module manufacturing facility in Kosamba, Surat, Gujarat, with a planned production capacity of 14 GW. The facility integrates artificial intelligence (AI) and automation technologies to enhance manufacturing efficiency and precision.

The plant features high-speed stringers capable of assembling 10,000 cells per hour, AI-driven automated optical inspection systems for real-time defect detection, and robotic automation for processes such as EVA layering and panel lamination. A three-stage auto laminator and an inline double-layer high-potential tester have been integrated to improve panel strength and electrical safety. Additionally, a Manufacturing Execution System (MES) enables live tracking and monitoring of operations.

This facility is part of Goldi Solar’s broader expansion strategy, which aims to increase its module manufacturing capacity from the current 3 GW to 14 GW by mid-FY26 and establish a 4 GW cell manufacturing capacity by FY27. The company plans to hire over 4,000 employees to support this expansion.

In FY24, Goldi Solar reported a revenue of ₹1,750 crore and currently has an order book of approximately ₹5,350 crore, including ₹4,550 crore in module manufacturing and ₹800 crore in engineering, procurement, and construction contracts.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Union Minister of New and Renewable Energy, Pralhad Joshi, who toured the plant and observed its AI-powered quality control systems and automation technologies.
