SKF India (Industrial) Limited has approved the setting up of a new manufacturing plant in Pune, Maharashtra, as part of a long-term plan to improve manufacturing efficiency and expand production capacity. The decision was taken at a meeting of the company’s Board of Directors held on 03 February 2026.

The project is planned to be implemented over the period from 2026 to 2030 and involves an estimated investment of INR 6,535 million. The company said the project will be financed entirely through internal resources, with no external borrowing planned.

The proposed facility is designed as a “factory of the future,” with a focus on lean, clean, and digital manufacturing practices. The company stated that the new plant is expected to offer higher operational efficiency compared with its existing Pune plant.

The new factory will accommodate 12 existing production channels and add eight new channels. SKF India (Industrial) said the expansion is expected to provide significant scope for efficiency improvements, including higher productivity and a reduction in value-added costs.

SKF India (Industrial) Limited is an India-incorporated industrial manufacturing company with its registered office in Chinchwad, Pune, Maharashtra.
