United Drilling Tools Limited has secured an order from Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited for the supply of large outer diameter casing pipes used in offshore drilling operations. The order is valued at INR 37.28 million and is scheduled to be executed over approximately five to six months.
The order covers the supply of large OD casing pipes that form part of the structural casing string installed in the wellbore. These pipes help stabilise the well and support subsequent casing strings during offshore drilling operations.
The company said the pipes are designed to ensure operational safety and structural integrity of wells operating in offshore environments. United Drilling Tools also stated that these specialised products are used in drilling and oilfield operations and are currently supplied domestically.
The company said geopolitical tensions involving Israel, Iran and the United States have led to volatility in global energy markets and an increase in international crude oil prices. It said higher crude prices may lead to increased drilling activity, which could support demand for such products in the near to medium term.
Commenting on the order, Jyoti Kumar, General Manager – Sales and Marketing, said, “we are pleased to secure this order for 36-inch casing connectors, which incorporate advanced multi-start thread technology. This design allows faster make-up with minimal rotations, reduces the risk of cross-threading during installation, and provides the structural strength required for drivable conductor casing. These features help operators improve installation efficiency while ensuring reliability in demanding offshore conditions.”
United Drilling Tools said the casing connectors will be manufactured and supplied domestically. The company said local production of these products supports domestic manufacturing capabilities in the oil and gas equipment sector and reduces reliance on imports.
United Drilling Tools Limited, established in 1985 and headquartered in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, manufactures large OD casing pipes with multi-start connectors, wireline and well service equipment, gas lift equipment, and downhole tools used in oil and gas drilling operations.
