AXISCADES, a provider of engineering and technology solutions in the aerospace and defence sectors, has signed a strategic partnership with Portugal-based EEA Aircraft and Maintenance to develop and introduce the LUS-222 aircraft in the Indian market. The LUS-222 is a light regional aircraft designed for civil and defence aviation sectors, with a capacity to carry up to 19 passengers or 2.7 tonnes of cargo.
Previously, the LUS-222 was intended to serve markets in Africa and Latin America and was developed, manufactured, and commercialized in Portugal. The partnership with AXISCADES aims to support the aircraft’s entry into India’s civil and military aviation sectors and may also support potential expansion into the broader Asian regional aviation market.
