Uno Minda Limited, an automotive components manufacturer, has approved the establishment of a new manufacturing facility for its Casting Division at Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (Aurangabad), Maharashtra, with a planned capital expenditure of approximately INR 2.1 billion. The facility is being developed to cater to increasing demand from original equipment manufacturers for casting parts in electric vehicles.

The proposed plant will have a capacity of 3,629 metric tonnes per annum, which the company aims to achieve in phases over the next five years. The first phase of production is scheduled to commence in the second quarter of the 2026-27 financial year.

Uno Minda plans to fund the INR 2.1 billion investment through internal accruals and term loans. The investment will be deployed in stages aligned with the capacity expansion plan.
