Emerson, a provider of automation solutions, has entered into a partnership with Kaynes Semicon to implement Emerson’s NI Semiconductor Test System (STS) as the standard platform across Kaynes’ semiconductor test facilities. The move will cover testing for analogue, mixed-signal, RF, power and MEMS devices.
According to Kaynes, the adoption of the STS platform is expected to streamline test infrastructure, improve flexibility, and support faster scaling of operations. “We are pleased to partner with Emerson to advance our semiconductor testing capabilities,” said Raghu Panicker, CEO of Kaynes Semicon. “As we scale our operations and extend our global footprint, Emerson’s NI STS platform will provide the modularity, speed, and reliability we need to deliver consistent, high-quality test outcomes for our customers.”
The NI STS is a PXI-based system designed with a compact form factor, reconfigurable architecture, and integration with LabVIEW and TestStand software. The solution enables reuse of instruments, multi-site execution, and is intended to reduce equipment redundancy and adapt to changing test requirements.
“Our collaboration with Kaynes reflects the growing demand for scalable and efficient semiconductor testing in India. Our NI STS platform is uniquely suited to support Kaynes’ growth ambitions, offering high-throughput, compact, cost-efficient and adaptable testing capabilities to meet evolving market demands,” said Shitendra Bhattacharya, country head of Emerson’s Test & Measurement business in India.
Emerson stated that the partnership is backed by its India-based field engineers, application support, and training resources. The company highlighted that its NI test platforms can deliver up to 10x faster test speeds, which it said can help lower capital costs and support scalable semiconductor production.
Emerson is a global technology and software company focused on automation solutions for industrial, commercial, and residential markets. Its Test & Measurement business provides semiconductor test systems, including the NI STS platform, which integrates hardware and software for device testing across multiple applications.
