PSD Aero, a France-based supplier of aerospace metals and materials, has inaugurated its warehouse site in Bengaluru as part of a broader plan to expand its operations in Asia. The facility, located near Kempegowda International Airport within a special economic zone, represents the company’s first physical infrastructure in India and is intended to support aerospace and high-precision manufacturing customers.

The site spans 4,500 square metres and is designed to strengthen PSD Aero’s logistics capabilities by positioning inventory and processing functions closer to regional supply chain partners. The company supplies a wide range of metals and alloys, including steel, stainless steel, aluminium, titanium, nickel-based alloys, cobalt-based alloys and copper-based materials used in aircraft structures, engine components, landing gear and electrical systems. By consolidating these materials at a local warehouse, the company aims to reduce lead times and improve delivery responsiveness for Indian and Asian aerospace manufacturers.

Construction on the warehouse began on 8 May with a groundbreaking ceremony that included a traditional “Bhoomi Pujan” and the laying of the first foundation stone. Engineering and survey teams subsequently began marking foundations and initiating civil works. The facility will operate alongside PSD Aero’s existing processing capabilities, which include cutting, machining and material preparation for aerospace-grade alloys.

The inauguration was attended by representatives from the company and industry partners, including Marc Lamy, Consul General of France in Bengaluru, Pauline Lambert, General Manager of PSD Aero, Vijayan Karikkan, Director of PSD Aero India Private Limited and Gautam Maini, Managing Director of Maini Precision. The presence of Indian aerospace suppliers and French officials reflects the company’s intention to integrate more closely with the region’s manufacturing ecosystem.

PSD Aero operates internationally with inventory hubs in Europe, China, the United Kingdom and Southeast Asia. The company manages more than 6,500 tonnes of aerospace-grade materials and offers over 10,000 catalogue references, supported by quality systems, full batch traceability and certifications for aerospace supply chains. Its operations include alloy processing, cutting, material testing and logistics consolidation for aircraft manufacturers and Tier-1 suppliers.

PSD Aero was established in India in 2017 through PSD Aero India Private Limited, headquartered in Bengaluru. The company serves aerospace, defence and precision-engineering customers through the distribution of specialised alloys and value-added material preparation services.
