Turntide Technologies, a developer of power electronics, electric motors, and industrial automation systems, has inaugurated a new office and Centre of Excellence in Pune to expand its support for original equipment manufacturers, system integrators, and Tier 1 suppliers in India. The facility is intended to strengthen the company’s presence in one of the largest markets for electric mobility and low-voltage power electronics. The expansion is aimed at meeting rising demand for electrification solutions across lightweight mobility segments.
The India division will supply Gen 4 and Gen 6 low-voltage inverters designed for 48-volt and 96-volt architectures. These systems are intended for two-, three-, and four-wheel lightweight mobility applications and convert battery power into motor drive with high power density and compact dimensions suitable for Indian vehicle platforms.
The new centre will also provide application engineering support to domestic customers. This includes technical guidance and integration assistance for manufacturers seeking to electrify their vehicles. The motor controller portfolio is positioned to meet increasing demand for electric mobility solutions, supported by industry investment and the growth of electrified transport options.
Turntide Technologies made its India debut at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, where it showcased its portfolio of low- and high-voltage power electronics along with its advanced axial flux motors. The company presented these systems to customers and prospective buyers, engaging in discussions on the integration of axial flux motors and low-voltage inverters for lightweight mobility platforms.
India’s electric vehicle market recorded sales of 234,000 units in October 2025, a seven percent year-on-year increase, led by electric two- and three-wheelers. These categories account for a substantial share of daily transportation needs across the country. Available data show that electric three-wheelers incur operating costs of INR 1.28 per kilometre compared with INR 3.21 for petrol-powered models.
“We are excited to share that Turntide Technologies is expanding into India,” said George Paterson, VP, Product. “With our move into our new facility in Pune, we will be manufacturing our Gen 4 and Gen 6 low-voltage inverters which are ideal for two-, three-, and four-wheel lightweight mobility applications.”
Turntide’s locally supplied inverter range is configured to support the electrification of these high-volume mobility segments and reduce operating costs while contributing to improved urban air quality. Local manufacturing and support are expected to help customers scale production and meet cost-sensitive market requirements.
The Pune facility forms part of the company’s efforts to enhance engineering, customer support, and technology deployment capabilities in India. It is intended to serve as a hub for power electronics development tailored to domestic transportation needs.
Turntide Technologies develops electrification and automation technologies for transportation, buildings, and logistics sectors worldwide.
