Trac Precision Solutions Limited, a wholly owned step-down subsidiary of PTC Industries Limited, has signed a multi-year memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Coolbrook Oy to collaborate on the machining and manufacture of components for Coolbrook’s RotoDynamic Heater (RDH) technology. The agreement establishes a structured five-year framework intended to support manufacturing development and industrial scale-up of the technology.
According to a press release issued by PTC Industries Limited on 10 March 2026, Coolbrook has expressed its intention to appoint Trac as its preferred machining partner for aerofoil machining supporting the manufacture of first-generation RDH units and subsequent industrial deployment. The collaboration includes early-stage Design for Manufacture (DfM) cooperation, production readiness initiatives and support for future design optimisation.
The framework also outlines cooperation in the manufacture of selected first-generation RotoDynamic Heater components, integrated design collaboration to optimise scalability, and alignment with Coolbrook’s commercial and technology deployment roadmap. The agreement establishes a long-term production partnership intended to support RDH deployment over a five-year horizon.
Coolbrook’s RDH technology is designed to electrify high-temperature industrial processes and can reach temperatures of up to 1700°C. The technology targets sectors such as steel, cement, petrochemicals and chemicals, where high-temperature heat is traditionally generated through fossil fuel combustion.
“Coolbrook’s decision to establish a long-term framework with Trac reflects confidence in our precision engineering capability and manufacturing discipline. As RDH technology advances toward global deployment, our focus will be on delivering scalable, high-integrity machining solutions that support reliability, repeatability and long-term industrial performance,” said Liam Bevington, Managing Director of Trac Precision Solutions.
“Partnering with Trac marks an important milestone as we advance the industrial scale-up of our RotoDynamic Heater technology. As our focus shifts from technology validation to full commercial deployment, building a robust and structured manufacturing partnership is essential to accelerating growth. Trac’s precision engineering expertise and focus on early-stage manufacturability strengthen our pathway to commercial scale. Together, we are building the foundation required to deliver dependable, high-performance solutions at the scale our customers and the market demand,” said Joonas Rauramo, Chief Executive Officer of Coolbrook.
“This collaboration reinforces our Group’s strategy of building enduring partnerships around advanced and future-oriented technologies. Supporting industrial decarbonisation through precision manufacturing expands Trac’s participation in high-impact global value chains and aligns with our long-term vision of developing a diversified, innovation-led manufacturing ecosystem,” said Sachin Agarwal, Chairman and Managing Director of PTC Industries Limited.
PTC Industries Limited manufactures precision metal components for critical and high-performance applications. Through its wholly owned subsidiary Aerolloy Technologies Limited, the company produces titanium and superalloy castings for aerospace applications and is developing advanced materials capabilities through its Strategic Materials Technology Complex.
