Eaton has inaugurated a 120,000 square-foot electrical manufacturing facility in Puducherry, India. The facility includes a 100,000 square-foot shop floor dedicated to power distribution product lines and an additional 20,000 square feet for utilities and infrastructure support.

The facility is expected to double the company’s manufacturing capacity for power distribution products such as air circuit breakers (ACBs), molded case circuit breakers (MCCBs), and fuses, which are used in industries such as data centers, industrial construction, and utility sectors.

According to Syed Sajjadh Ali, Managing Director at Eaton, the expansion consolidates Eaton’s central warehouse for power distribution products and includes a newly developed research and development center. These additions aim to streamline operations and improve delivery times across India.

Eaton provides products and services across several sectors including data centers, utilities, industrial, commercial, residential, aerospace, and mobility. The company is headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, and operates in over 160 countries.

The press release indicates that the expanded facility supports Eaton’s efforts to enhance its manufacturing capabilities and improve operational efficiency in India.
