Kerry Solutions for Pharma has opened a new film coating facility in Sanand, Ahmedabad, aimed at expanding its production capacity for pharmaceutical applications. The site is intended to strengthen the company’s regional operations while integrating with its global pharmaceutical solutions business.
The facility will focus on producing pharmaceutical film coatings and excipient solutions, including its SheffCoat range of immediate release and enteric coatings designed to meet regulatory and stability requirements. The site is also positioned to provide technical and regulatory support to pharmaceutical manufacturers.
The new plant is part of Kerry’s broader portfolio in pharma and biotechnology, which includes solutions designed to optimise drug formulation, manufacturing, and delivery. The company stated that the Sanand facility will operate with established quality management systems and emphasise collaboration with pharmaceutical partners.
