Airbus has inaugurated a new headquarters and training center for its India and South Asia operations, located at Delhi International Airport in New Delhi. The facility, now operational, is designed to serve as the regional hub for Airbus’ commercial, helicopter, and defense divisions and will support training needs in the area.
According to a company press release, the new center includes a pilot and maintenance training facility equipped with four full-flight simulators. Airbus anticipates that this setup will support ongoing skills development as part of its “Make in India” initiative.
The opening ceremony was attended by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and Indian Civil Aviation Minister Rammohan Naidu Kinjarapu. Airbus Defence and Space CEO Mike Schoellhorn was also present at the event.
The company’s presence in India spans across various sectors, with this latest addition marking a significant milestone in its regional expansion.
