Cyient has partnered with Allegro MicroSystems to establish a Center of Excellence (CoE) in Hyderabad, India. This facility, located at Cyient’s Manikonda campus, will focus on developing magnetic sensors and power semiconductor products for the automotive industry.

The CoE will employ over 100 engineers specializing in areas such as post-silicon validation, design verification, analog design, mixed-signal verification, and embedded systems. The initiative aims to enhance Allegro’s product development capabilities, particularly for electric vehicles, advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS), and other automotive applications.

This collaboration is aligned with industry trends such as the increasing demand for magnetic sensors in electric vehicles, advancements in high-power devices like SiC (silicon carbide) and GaN (gallium nitride), and the need for advanced embedded systems.

Allegro MicroSystems President and CEO Vineet Nargolwala stated that the CoE would accelerate innovation in these areas, helping meet the automotive sector’s evolving needs.

For Cyient, the partnership strengthens its role in semiconductor development and supports its strategic focus on intelligent engineering solutions.

The new CoE highlights the growing importance of India as a hub for semiconductor innovation and its contribution to the global automotive industry’s shift towards sustainable and advanced technologies.
