A fire broke out at IndianOil’s Mathura Refinery around 7:00 p.m. on November 12, 2024, during the restart of the Crude Distillation Unit after a scheduled maintenance shutdown. The fire was swiftly contained, and refinery operations have not been affected, according to a company press release.

The incident resulted in burn injuries to eight personnel. Three of the injured individuals were transported to Apollo Hospital in Delhi for treatment, while the others are receiving medical care locally. All injured individuals are reported to be in stable condition, with their recovery being monitored closely.

IndianOil confirmed that the plant’s machinery sustained no damage and that refinery activities are continuing without disruption. An investigation is underway to determine the cause of the fire.

The company stated it remains committed to safety standards and will provide updates as the situation develops.
