Escorts Kubota Limited has been allotted approximately 200 acres of land in Sector 10 of the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) to set up a state-of-the-art tractor manufacturing facility. With an investment of INR 45 billion. The project is expected to create approximately 4,000 jobs in a phased manner.

The company signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Uttar Pradesh government on August 17, 2024, to establish the facility. The project will include manufacturing units for tractors, engines, and commercial equipment, with the first phase involving an investment of INR 20 billion. This phase will cover the establishment of the tractor plant, commercial equipment unit, and core infrastructure, while subsequent expansion will depend on market demand and operational capacity.

The facility will also support shared services in India for Kubota’s global research and development operations. YEIDA officials noted the strategic advantage of the site, citing its connectivity to Delhi-NCR and upcoming logistics hubs.

Escorts Kubota Limited is a joint venture between India’s Escorts Limited and Japan’s Kubota Corporation, established in 2019. The company focuses on manufacturing tractors and agricultural machinery for domestic and international markets.
