Meril has inaugurated a new manufacturing facility under India’s Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme, an initiative aimed at boosting domestic manufacturing capacity. The virtual launch event included the participation of India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Gujarat’s Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel.

The facility, which will produce a range of healthcare products, aligns with the company’s strategic focus on self-reliance in sectors such as cardiovascular care, orthopedics, surgical robotics, endosurgery, and in-vitro diagnostics. Meril employs over 10,000 team members and has developed a portfolio of more than 300 product platforms, supporting its role in healthcare manufacturing within India.

Meril’s involvement in the PLI scheme underscores its commitment to local production and increased access to advanced healthcare solutions.
