Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) has been awarded an Engineering Procurement Construction (EPC) contract by South Central Railway for the doubling of railway tracks in Telangana. The project spans 33.7 kilometers, from Navipet Station (excluding) to Indalvai Station (including), with an exclusion of the 2.3-kilometer Nizamabad Yard. The scope also includes electrification and signaling works.
The contract is part of the Mudkhed-Medchal Doubling Project and is valued at approximately ₹294.95 crore, inclusive of GST. The completion timeline for the project is set at 24 months. According to RVNL, the project does not involve any related-party transactions or promoter interests.
